I undertake copywriting and marketing work for SMEs and my job is to weave the words which will help put your business ahead of the game. Your business is a thriving concern, and you want to keep it that way, but your workload is probably so hectic that marketing activities tend to get pushed aside. Do you know that feeling when you finally find a few spare minutes to sit down and write your firm’s newsletter (the January one – and it’s already April . . . . ) and you can’t get the words to flow?

Many people running their own businesses simply don’t have the time to cross the ‘t’s and dot the ‘i’s of their publicity material.  However, good written English conveys a great deal about your approach to business. If, on the other hand, your website is full of spelling errors, or the sentence construction in your company brochure is awkward and ungrammatical, then prospective clients may feel that your approach to their issues would be just as slapdash.

It doesn’t matter whether your business sells financial services or fish. If you are trying to attract discerning clients/customers then the power of the correctly written word is vital to show your attention to detail and your commitment to excellence.

The chances are, though, that you have your hands full on a day to day basis simply keeping up with the pressures of your business.
